We've recently been introduced to literal "island of calm" here in crazy El Salvador - it's called Teopan and is a small island in Lake Coatepeque, a huge, beautiful lake about an hour from our apartment. Our friends Celina and Ken invited us to spend a weekend with them at their family's house.

| "Oh Yeah!" We really love the quiet and serenity of Coatepeque and wish we had learned about it much earlier in our tour. Now we know it's charms we'll spend as much of our free time in El Salvador there as we can. More to follow soon, but until then we hope you like this post! L8R M&K |
